Preparation for publication of volumes 6 and 7 of the selected papers and a digital edition of letters of social reformer Jane Addams (1860-1935). (36 months)

The digital edition of the Jane Addams Papers Project broadens scholarly access, allowing far deeper searches than are possible using the microfilm or scattered archival holdings. The JAPP’s goals for 2025-2028 are to digitize, describe, and transcribe documents from 1931 to 1934 in JADE (approximately 3,600 documents), submit the completed Volume 6 manuscript to the press, and begin annotation research on Volume 7.
